We’re fresh off a trip to the happiest place on Earth. PS – We now need a vacation 😉
As we glanced back through our photographs I was struck by a few images in particular. I loved the lighting here on the Dumbo ride. I thought I was being all snazzy balancing the available light ….
Then Keith took the camera away from me and did his thing (showed me up).
And I LOVE this one of the ride even more. The motion blur makes me “feel” I’m experiencing the ride every time I look at the image.
By simply slowing down the shutter speed, you can capture some serious magic (pun intended).
And when you apply the same “slow down the shutter” technique while actually on a ride, REALLY amazing stuff happens.
This next one is probably one of my very favorite images from the trip (which I can actually take credit for thankyouverymuch).
Teacups for the win!!!
That blur makes all the difference … don’t you think?
Notes: We did NOT take any kind of tripod, monopod, gorilla pod, etc. with us. For the second image, Keith simply used a hand rail to give the camera a little stabilization. For the last image, I simply braced my arms with the camera against my body …. and also took a few blurry images 😉
