I hope you all had fun trying to setup and create your own water drop photographs. We believe that the best way to learn is to actually use your creativity and when we learn a new technique it expands our knowledge but it takes “personal practice” to really have the full understanding of the difficulties of such a project.
This is how I set up for this project.
Next is the description of full setup:
I wanted you to see a shot of an image without the reflection of the colors of the background which was added. The color in this image was added in Lightroom.
Utilizing the full power of our equipment is always fun to experience and I think that learning to use manual settings gives us the power to control most situations in which we find ourselves.
Keeping the focus exactly where I wanted was extremely critical and timing the drops were my biggest challenges for this project.
What were the challenges that you learned from doing this project? If you didn’t get a chance to do this project…….. what did you learn from viewing these images or what questions come to mind as you see the settings that I used.
If you have ideas for another learning project please send us a note.
Have a great weekend, Keith
